Investing in Yourself
Education cards provide unique advantages that invest in your future and can define your
strategy.
Types of Education
Passive: Permanent effect that persists throughout the game (e.g.,
Realtor's License increases Property value).
Consumable: One-time use ability (e.g., 1031 Exchange to swap
properties).
Immediate: Instant, one-time effect upon selection.
Borrowing Money
You can take a loan at any time during your turn to finance investments.
Unsecured Loans
High interest, no collateral required. Good for
emergencies or high-ROI stock plays.
Secured Loans
Lower interest, but requires collateral (stock,
properties). Assets can be seized if you default.
Taxes
Tax liability increases whenever you receive passive income or sell assets at a profit.
Withholding: You have the option to voluntarily withhold a portion
of your sale proceeds to cover taxes.
Payday: On payday, you MUST pay the IRS any Outstanding Taxes you
have. If you do not have enough cash, you will take an automatic emergency Unsecured
Loan to cover the difference.
Events
Market conditions change dynamically based on the Event Ticker and Global Event Cards.
News Ticker: Keep an eye on market trends! The ticker hints at
price movements before they happen.
Global Events: Periodically, large events shake up the entire
market, affecting Real Estate values, Interest Rates, or Stock Prices.
